About Me
A question I'm frequently asked by my clients is, "why did you want to become a therapist?" I guess the simple answer is because I know what it is to suffer mentally. As someone who struggled with bouts of anxiety and depression since my teenage years, I am painfully aware of how debilitating it is to feel hopeless.
Counselling is what helped me to heal and this led me to want to use my journey and recovery to help others. It's not always possible to get through hard times by ourselves, and therapy offers a safe, supportive environment where clients feel valued and heard.

Let's face it, life can be totally overwhelming sometimes. When we feel bad physically, most of us go to the Dr and take care of the problem. Why should mental health be any different? I believe a holistic approach to mental health is necessary for long term well-being, and self-care is more than just a buzz word or a bubble bath. We need to nurture ourselves and treat ourselves with the utmost kindness, especially when we are feeling vulnerable or downtrodden. Therapy helped me to turn down the volume on my inner critic, and I learned to develop a much kinder way of talking to myself. I am passionate about supporting people to reach out unashamedly for the help they need. The healing begins here.
